Lottie Bell Bellamy entered the presence of the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018. Lottie was born on April 7, 1931, in Conway, the daughter of the late Sollie and Nellie Jordan.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph “Junior” Bellamy. She was also pre-deceased by her brothers; Lee Jordan, Devon Jordan, Henry Jordan, Perlie Jordan and her sister, Inez Powell. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Bellamy and Brenda Bellamy. She is also survived by her sisters, Esther Jordan Chresoulis of Conway and Dorothy Benton of Myrtle Beach as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lottie was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She and her husband Junior shared a happy marriage for 46 years. Together they raised two daughters, Cathy and Brenda. She deeply loved and was completely devoted to her family.
Lottie was a lady who was small in stature, but exhibited a great spirit of humility and humbleness. She was a dedicated homemaker, avid gardener and a wonderful cook. She was a charter member of Socastee Baptist Church where she worshiped and served the Lord and her community for 51 years. In addition to being a homemaker, she had worked as a personal care provider to the Smith-McKay family. She also provided professional cleaning services to several local businesses. During her recent declining health, she faced her trials with a joyful and grateful spirit.
She enjoyed listening to gospel music and visits from friends and family. She was able to remain in her home during the entirety of her illness, where she was lovingly cared for by her two daughters. The family is very grateful for the support and loving care provided over the past several months by her caregiver, Sally.
Memorials may be offered to Socastee Baptist Church in Lottie’s memory.
