McLeod Health celebrates the opening of new local medical office buildings

By JENNIFER HULON

McLeod Health celebrated an open house and ribbon cutting for McLeod Seacoast Medical Park Building 2 on Thursday, Feb. 2. This additional medical office building on the McLeod Health Seacoast campus is located at 3793 McDowell Lane in Little River. Community members had the opportunity to tour the facility and meet the physicians and staff.

The McLeod Seacoast Medical Park Building 2 is home to McLeod Orthopaedics Seacoast, McLeod Cardiology Associates and McLeod Cardiac Rehabilitation. McLeod Seacoast Medical Park Building 2 provides additional clinical space needed to not only grow the orthopedics and cardiology practices, but to make room for the medical specialty offices located in McLeod Seacoast Medical Park Building 1 to expand.

McLeod Orthopaedics Seacoast is located on the first floor of McLeod Seacoast Medical Park Building 2 and offers 20,000 square feet of office space, including four x-ray rooms and additional space that allows each provider to improve workflow. The new practice has the capacity to see approximately 100,000 patients per year which is double from its previous location.

McLeod Cardiology Associates is located on the second floor of McLeod Seacoast Medical Park Building 2 and offers 20,000 square feet of office space and McLeod Cardiac Rehabilitation.

The relocation of McLeod Cardiac Rehabilitation makes it easier for cardiac patients to receive care all in one location. McLeod Cardiology Associates has also doubled its space and can provide care for approximately 45,000 patients per year.

McLeod Health continues to expand to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Currently, McLeod Health has 37 physician practices along the coast and has recruited 78 new providers within the last five years. In the next few months, McLeod Health will celebrate the opening of an additional operating room at McLeod Health Loris and a new clinical office building on their campus at McLeod Health Carolina Forest.
