Nell Marie Stuart

Nell Marie Stuart, 69, of North Myrtle Beach was called to her eternal home in Heaven on Friday July 24, 2020, after a battle with health issues. She passed away peacefully in her home. Marie was born on June 7, 1951, to Leland and Cleo Clark of Chocowinity, N.C.
Marie worked for the North Myrtle Beach Times as the production manager for several years. She worked as a bookkeeper for White Reality in North Myrtle Beach until her retirement a few years ago. She was a loving wife and caregiver to her late husband, Don Stuart, and a doting and loving grandmother to her grandchildren by marriage. She was a wonderful friend to many and had a great love for the city of North Myrtle Beach. She was a long time, active member of the Ocean Drive Pavilion Church. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Marie enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, shell hunting, listening to music, especially southern gospel songs. Marie was passionate about worshiping the Lord and reading her Bible every day. She was known to share Biblical stories and recite Bible verses to family and friends. Marie could be found on any given day enjoying the sun on her front porch. She was a talented shag dancer. As a devoted North Carolina Tar Heels fan, she attended many basketball games with her husband. She enjoyed boating and fishing and even lived on a sailboat for a number of years with her husband.
Survivors include her step-son, Wayne Stuart and wife Chrystal; step- daughter, Melanie Stuart; her sister, Jennifer Moore and husband Greg; her brother, Leland Dale Clark and wife Barbara; five step- grandchildren: Claire, Will and Emma Frueauff and Colton and Sammy Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Stuart, and sister, Bertie Womble.
Lewis Crematory and Funeral Services of Myrtle Beach is serving the family.
