The North Myrtle Beach Area Historical Museum will be holding a grand reopening celebration this Saturday, Feb. 25, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
“A lot of work has been done over there,” North Myrtle Beach Mayor Marilyn Hatley said. “I’m excited, I can’t wait to see it.”
Beginning at 12 p.m. with a ribbon cutting, there will be an assortment of fun activities for all ages to enjoy as the museum reopens it doors. The activities will include a scavenger hunt, games for children, live remote from 94.9 by Jim Quick, as well as refreshments being served.
The NMB Area Historical Museum also welcomed a new director at the beginning of this year, Kaitlyn Emielita, as well as a new chairman and board of directors.The new museum board is Norfleet Jones, chairman; Danny Knight, vice chairman; Margie Dowling; Jackie McGee, secretary; Dolly McDermott; Rick Elliott and Dick Hester, treasurer.
The grand reopening is sure to be an event locals and visitoris won’t want to miss.
“So please come, tell your neighbors and bring your children and your grandchildren,” Hatley said.
