William M. Wingate Sr., 75, of Little River died on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at his home. Born on Nov. 17, 1943, in Tulsa, Okla., he was the son of the late Robert Wingate Sr. and Virginia O’Byrne Wingate. Mr. Wingate served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sandra L. Anderson Wingate; two sons, William M. Wingate Jr. and Gary L. Wingate (Andreau); brother, James M. Wingate; sister, Janice M. Michael F. Thomas, 58, passed away at home, in the Cane Branch community of Loris, following an illness. He was born on March 20, 1960, in Darlington to Bobbie Suggs Stevens and the late Franklin Thomas. He served his country with courage and honor in the U.S. Navy after which he worked as a carpenter. Annie Ruth Sapp, 71, of Panama City, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018. She passed away peacefully at home after an illness. Ms. Sapp was born on August 13, 1947 in Horry County, to the late Tommie R. Ward and the late Clara Hawks Ward Guyton. Mrs. Lutrus was born on Aug. 25, 1947, in Bethel, Conn., a daughter of the late Fredrick and Gunhild Timms.
