A trunk-or-treat event sponsored by Capture Inc. and Loris First Baptist Church was held on Halloween night, Wednesday, Oct. 31, beginning at 6 p.m. Children dressed as unicorns, scarecrows, super heroes and witches and held their bags out for candy. In the pouring rain, the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (6-3) varsity football team defeated the Marlboro County Bulldogs (6-3) to earn the No. 3 playoff seed out of Region 6-4A. With a final score of 12-0, the Chiefs shutout an opponent for the first time this season.
