NMB Chiefs baseball team begins region play this week

The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs varsity baseball team begins region play this week with two games. The Chiefs travelled to Marlboro County on Tuesday for their region opener and then have their first home game scheduled for this Friday at 6:30 p.m. at home against Wilson High School. The North Myrtle Beach High School wrestling team donates their time and muscles to help at the Little River festivals by assisting the vendors unload and set up their booths, delivering ice and soda, helping the staff set up chairs, tables and equipment and anything they need. Decorated golf carts have always been a big part of the North Myrtle Beach Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. The 32nd Annual North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival will be on Saturday, March 14, on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. The parade begins at 9 a.m. and the festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The one-day rain or shine event attracts more than 40,000 people annually. Prior to the March 2 City Council meeting, Council met in a 6:15 p.m. executive session to receive a legal briefing concerning the lawsuit between the City of Myrtle Beach and Horry County regarding local accommodations and hospitality taxes. Free family-friendly event is March 20

The North Myrtle Beach Parks & Recreation Department announces its next Pedal in the Park with a Superhero theme. Bring your bicycles out to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex on Friday, March 20, at 6:30 p.m. for a leisurely three mile starlit bike ride. Club hosts meeting today

By Sherry Fowler Quick Loris Garden Club is hosting the Coastal District Spring Luncheon meeting this Thursday, March 12, from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McLeod Loris Fitness Center.
