Ronald ‘Bubba’ Whetstone

Ronald “Bubba” Whetstone, 75, of Loris passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019.

Mr. Whetstone was born in Charlotte, N.C., a son of the late Charles C. and Eva B. Whetstone.  He was a member and Sunday School teacher at Liberty Baptist Church.  Mr. Whetstone was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a volunteer at Agape in Conway and retired from K & W Cafeteria after 25 years of service.  Mr. Whetstone loved reading his Bible. 

He was predeceased by one daughter, Lynn Whetstone; three brothers, Laddie Whetstone, Charles Whetstone and Jimmy Whetstone; and one sister, Helen Stewart.

Survivors include one step-son, Robert Allen Whetstone of Myrtle Beach; one son, Ronald Eric Whetstone; one daughter, Susan Denise Whetstone; one sister, Patricia Gaddy of Charlotte; a niece, Traci Childers (Douglas) and their son, Matthew, all of Loris; and several other nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

Funeral services were on Wednesday, July 31, at 2 p.m. at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, with Pastor Douglas Childers officiating.  Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway.
