Rose Marie Dugan

Rose Marie Dugan, 75, of Longs passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on Monday, March 18, 2019.
She was born in Jersey City and resided in Edison, N.J. for thirty years before retiring to Longs in 1996. She was the daughter of Dominick and Lillian Kocot of Jersey City, N.J.

She is survived by her dedicated and beloved husband of 56 years, Timothy Dugan, also of Longs; four sons, Mike Dugan and wife Sharon of Jacksonville, Fla., Brendan Dugan and wife Michelle of Flagler Beach, Fla., Darrin Dugan of Longs and Timothy Dugan (Mouck) and wife Toni of Edison, N.J. In addition to her children, she is survived by three grandchildren, Chelsea Dugan of Tampa, Fla., Mickey Dugan, of Charleston and Melanie Dugan of Flagler Beach, Fla. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Kocot and wife Winnie of Beaumont, Texas, two loving sisters, Joan Konopka and her husband Anthony of Penn Hook, Va., and Barbara and Larry Wisniewski and Goddaughter Doreen Celentano of Longs.

Rose Marie managed a busy pediatrics office in Metuchen, N.J. for 26 years and is fondly remembered by many of her patients. She was very active at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach. She will be deeply missed by many lifelong friends.

A special thank you to Dr. Matthew F. Kohler and staff at MUSC and Dr. Sarah Adams and staff at Tidelands Health. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Karen Greenan for her friendship and support.

Relatives and friends were invited to attend funeral services on Friday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. .
