Shirley Mae Stevens Causey, 76, of Loris passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at her home following an illness. Mrs. Causey was born on July 7, 1942, in Loris to the late Luther Evan Stevens and the late Sallie Edna Ward Stevens. Mrs. Causey retired from Horry Electric Cooperative and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for over fifty years.
Shirley is survived by her husband of over 60 years, D. Earl Causey of the home; her two sons, Dennis Causey and wife Wendy Carter Causey and Kenneth Causey and wife Krystal Ward Causey, all of Loris; four grandchildren, Amber Causey Todd and husband Marshall of Loris and Brandon Causey of Loris, Korbin Causey and wife Sammi Jo of Little Rivernand Kolin Causey of Loris; two great-grandchildren, Carter Todd of Loris and Kate McDaniel of Little River; her brother, Mitchell Stevens and wife Karen Todd Stevens and her sister Phyllis A. Stevens, all of Loris.
Visitation was held on Monday, Jan. 21, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Bethany Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Lewis and the Rev. Mack Hutson officiating. Committal services were private.
