The Green Sea Floyds High School Varsity Football team traveled to Benedict College in Columbia this past Friday to take on the Lamar High School Silver Foxes for the 2018 SCHSL Class A State Championship. The Trojans got off to a great start building a 24-14 lead going into halftime. During the second half defense ruled the game as the Trojans held on to win the school’s first ever state championship by a score of 26-20 and moving their overall season record to 11-3. Coach Donnie Kiefer in his two years has won a state championship for Green Sea Floyds High School. The Silv ed are players, coaches, family and friends of the new 2018 1A State Champions celebrating shortly after the game.
