Thomas Olen Norwood, 86, of Loris passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Loris McLeod Hospital in Loris. He was born on Feb. 14, 1933, in Elmira, N.Y. and worked in construction as a crane operator for most of his life.
Survivors include his daughters, Catherine Conley and husband Daniel of Loris, and Tammy Price and husband Richard of Montacello, N.Y.; six grandchildren, John Grimm and wife Talitha, Gary Buley and wife Allyson, Tracy Hornung and husband Chris, Michael Grimm and wife Amanda, Shaun Grimm and Briana Conley and fiancé Brandon Brown; eleven great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Norwood was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Norwood, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hank Norwood.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, at Hardwick Funeral Home. Graveside services followed at 1 p.m. at Twin City Memorial Gardens in Loris with the Rev. Bruce Adams officiating.
