The Great Christmas Light Show returns to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex Nov. 23 through Dec. 30. Gates are open from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. This park-wide lighted celebration captures the true spirit of the season.The S.C. Department of Commerce has approved this event and required COVID-19 safety protocols are in effect. NMB Chiefs beat West Florence 28-21, maintain undefeated record in 6AAAA

By John Smithson The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs returned to the Hank Hester Field for Homecoming last Friday night and beat the visiting Knights 28-21 to remain undefeated atop the 6AAAA region. The Chiefs win and the upset win by Wilson over Myrtle Beach on Friday now sets up the big game with the Seahawks a week from Friday at North Myrtle Beach. Chiefs girls cross country team wins 6AAAA championship

By John Smithson The North Myrtle Beach High School varsity girls cross country team won the 6AAAA regional championship last Saturday in Darlington.  The girls team had three runners in the top ten finishers to win with 59 points. West Florence was second with 75 points and Myrtle Beach third with 80 points. Kailyn Brown was the fourth-place finisher overall with Kayah Marques seventh, Isabel Smith 11th, Nia Ortiz 13th and Chandler Mury Riley 26th to lead the Chiefs point-getters. Chiefs run record to 4-0 with 63-14 win over Darlington

By John Smithson The fifth ranked North Myrtle Beach Chiefs started slowly last Friday night but then dismantled the Darlington Falcons by a 63-14 score.  The Chiefs and Falcons traded possessions for most of the first quarter until a Darlington touchdown seemed to spark the Chiefs and got their offense going for the rest of the Friday homecoming game at Darlington High School. NMB Chiefs open home football season with 35-7 win over South Florence

By John Smithson The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs varsity football team beat South Florence 35-7 last Friday at the Hank Hester Field on senior night to go 2-0 in the 6AAAA region. The Chiefs followed up their big win at Darlington last week with another solid team performance on both offense and defense to send the visiting Bruins home with their second loss, in their first game played against North Myrtle Beach.
