Capture Inc. shares ‘He’s got the whole world in His hands’. Terry McLean, owner and operator, is providing breakfasts and lunches to students while the HCSD has suspended their 13 pickup sites and bus service to deliver meals. HCSD asked parents to continue to check the county school website for announcements when the meals will be available again. The Horry County Solid Waste Authority recently recognized Loris area resident Cathy Smith as the “Caught Green Handed” recipient for the month of April. The “Caught Green Handed” recognition is presented monthly to an Horry County resident caught in the act of recycling, stated Esther Murphy, director of Recycling and Corporate Affairs for the Solid Waste Authority. “It’s the Solid Waste Authority’s way of recognizing and thanking citizens who have made the effort to recycle. By Annie Rigby Mitchell Sea Baptist Church in Green Sea provided food to the community at the Kingston Lake building on Church Street in Loris on Friday, April 10, beginning at 1 p.m. until all of the food boxes were distributed. Every Friday the Reverend Hattie Graham and volunteers work meticulously to provide food for residents in Loris. This past Friday they provided food to 520 people in the Loris area. HTC continues to service customers in Loris. Appointments are scheduled and the workers do ask if anyone in the household is sick at the time they come to a home for maintenance or new services. Their policy is if anyone in the household is ill they will reschedule the appointment. The city of Loris Water Works department is hard at work with water maintenance in the city.
