This past week a member of the South Carolina Highway Patrol directed traffic at the intersection of Main Street and Broad Street in Loris while the traffic lights were being changed out. Employees of ALS of North Carolina, Inc. based out of Fayetteville was subcontracted by the South Carolina Department of Transportation to change out the old stop lights and install new modern stop lights that improve the safety of the turn lanes and to help traffic move through the intersection more efficiently.

Loris High School hosted the third annual Lacy Hardee Memorial Pre-Season Baseball Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 29, beginning at 9 a.m. The tournament has been the opening scrimmage baseball games in honor of Lacy Hardee who passed away in May 2017.
