Robert Clyde McCord Jr. of Conway died on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Conway Medical Center from complications associated with COVID-19. Mr. McCord was born on Jan. 26, 1937, a son of the late Robert Clyde McCord Sr. and Mary Akins McCord. He was born and grew up in the Oakdale Community of Mecklenburg County, N.C. His daddy bought him his first car, an old four-door sedan, when Robert was 12 years old. He soon removed the back seat so he could haul goats and calves. By Pat Dowling The city of North Myrtle Beach is providing the following information to people and businesses regarding water service, business license renewals and accommodations tax and hospitality tax payments: Water Cut-Offs – During the COVID-19 emergency, the city will not cut off water service, however, a person or business that has difficulty paying their bill for any reason should be proactive and notify the city as quickly as possible. Recognizing the economic impacts to our area resulting from emergencies and disasters, Horry County Council has taken action to implement additional protections for the business community as part of the County’s emergency management, response and recovery. With the Governor’s order declaring a State of Emergency on March 13, 2020, certain provisions dealing with the filing of fee returns took immediate effect. Carol Dailey Dunaway of Green Sea, age 65, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020. Mrs. Dunaway was born in Clinton, S.C a daughter of the late George and Vida Dailey.  She was a teacher for many years with Horry County Schools, retiring from Aynor Middle School.  Mrs. Dunaway loved music and treasured her time volunteering as a guardian ad litem for Horry County youth.  She was a faithful member of Mt.
