A 12-foot by 16-foot LED Screen is being installed at the southwestern corner of Highway 17 and Robert Edge Parkway The SCDOT-approved sign will have a brick base and landscaping. Constructed to withstand winds of up to 140 mph, the sign will help promote city festivals, concerts, sports tourism and other events and will share city information during hurricanes and other incidents.

Senator Hembree selected for national leadership program Senator Greg Hembree of Little River has been selected to participate in the 2019 Center for the Advancement of Leadership Skills (CALS) in Little Rock, Arkansas, from Oct. 5-9. On the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 28, a large group of steadfast prayer warriors gathered once again to pray over all students and staff members of various schools in North Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas. The annual gathering began several years ago by Pastor Jon Feld of a powerhouse church. As the procession of vehicles met at Riverside Elementary School the prayers began with raising their hands and 60 plus voices praising our Lord for the protection of all students. The Coffee With Friends will be held at the meeting room in the library and is open to the public.
