Mary Elizabeth Flanagan  Galligan, 74, of Little River  and formerly of Lisbon Falls, Maine, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday 2020, March 10, with her loving husband by her side. Mary was born on Feb. 5, 1946, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite (McHale) Flanagan. She was married to Howard Joseph Galligan Jr. on Feb. 28, 1965, at St. Mary’s Church in Bangor, Maine. They had just celebrated their loving and devoted marriage of 55 years. Ruth G. Hudson, 77, of Myrtle Beach passed peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Portside Grande Dunes surrounded by her loving family. Born on Oct. 19, 1942, in Salina, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Evelyn Kline Greene. Ruth attended a one-room grade school in Mentor, Kan., and high school in Salina. In 1964, she graduated from Wichita State University and married her husband of 56 years, Howard Hudson. Ruth began her teaching career in Title 1 schools in Wichita. Donald Wayne “Don” Stuart Sr., 76, of North Myrtle Beach passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020. He was born on February 16, 1944, the son of Rose and Roscoe Stuart. Don was a master captain and sport fisherman. He was an active deacon at Ocean Drive Pavilion Church. He retired from Don Stuart Auto Sales in Burlington, N.C., and was a North Carolina Tarheels fan and also a past member of the Ram’s Club. Franklin K. Gardner of Columbia and Longs passed into eternal rest and peace on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, after a long illness. He was the son of the late Isaac Franklin Gardner and Mae Singleton Gardner of Columbia. He was a lifelong member of Park Street Baptist Church and a graduate of Columbia High School, class of 1955. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force at McEntire AFB / ANG in Eastover. Born on Aug. 3, 1957, in Monticello, Ariz., he was the son of Benjamin and Sammye Bulloch Edwards. Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gail Walker Edwards; two sons, Samuel D.
