On Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, Janice J. “Jenny” Lee, passed away at her home in Longs, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 13, 1950, a daughter of the late Verna and Thomas Orville Clark of Illinois. Jenny volunteered as a den mother in New Haven, Conn., school room mother and served on the Board of Zoning and Appeals for the city of New Haven. She was a member of the New Haven Democratic community and worked tirelessly on the campaigns of Jimmy Carter, Chris Dodd, Rosa DeLauro, Martin Looney, Frank Logue and Ben DeLito. She …

George Rogers “Roger” Humphreys, Jr. of Suffolk, Va., passed away at the age of 77 on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, with family by his side.  He was born on Feb. 16, 1942, in Portsmouth, Va., and has lived in Suffolk, North Myrtle Beach,  North Charleston and Kitty Hawk, N.C. Eugene Joseph McKenna Jr., 91, of Little River, died on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River.  He was born on Jan. 22, 1928, in Bronx, N.Y. to Eugene Joseph Sr. and Margaret Agnes (Hosking) McKenna.  He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ruth (Murphy) McKenna.  They were married on March 9, 1968, in Elkton, Md. Anthony “Toney” Wayne Posey of North Myrtle Beach passed away at his home on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019. He was born on Dec. 13, 1958. A celebration of Toney’s life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home in Little River. A visitation with friends will be held at 12 noon before the service. Born on May 4, 1940 in Raleigh, N.C., he was the son of the late Alvah Dalton Fuqua Sr. and Novvie Smith Fuqua. Mr. Fuqua is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Dianne Lambert Fuqua; two sons, Dean and Scott Fuqua; daughter, Catherine Fuqua; and three grandchildren, Julia, Carolina and Miguel. Margaret Elizabeth Suggs Prince of Loris passed away in her home on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at the age of 93. A native of Loris, Mrs. Prince was born on December 24, 1925. The daughter of Grover C. and Irene M. Suggs, she graduated from Loris High School as co-valedictorian of her class. Always a trendsetter, she attended Columbia College where she was active in many clubs and organizations.
