Jerry Wayne Cox

Jerry Wayne Cox of Longs was born to Fannie Virginia Prince and Dayton Paul Cox of Longs on Feb. 8, 1954. He passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019, after a short illness at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Jerry attended Loris High School, graduating in 1972. He then attended Francis Marion University, graduating with a degree in business administration in 1976. After graduation, Jerry went to work at Talon Industries in Loris, where he met Christine Crudo from Meadville, Pa. They married in October 1983. Edwin Benjamin Boyd, 56, of Loris passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019, at McLeod Loris Hospital. He was born on Feb. 1, 1963, in Loris to the late Cecil Earl Boyd and the late Carol June Strickland Boyd. He served his country with courage and honor in the United States Army National Guard for over 20 years. Edwin was a devoted family man who loved his wife, son, daughter and grandchildren very much. Danny Mitchel Wright, 70,  of Florence passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Florence Commander Nursing Facility. He was born on Jan. 26, 1949, in Loris to the late Jesse Clifton Wright and the late Thelma Hazel Jernigan Wright. Mr. Wright was a special needs adult who lived in Shallotte Group Home in Shallotte, N.C., for 20 years prior to moving to Florence. His sister moved him to be closer to his family.
