Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Leo Dixon

Kenneth “Kenny” Leo Dixon, 73, of Little River passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.. Born on Sept. 17, 1946, in Frederick, Md., he was the son of the late Kenneth James and Lucille Dixon. Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Butts Dixon; sons, Keith LeRoy Dixon (Catherine Elizabeth) and Lance Henri-Northcraft Dixon (Kymberli); brother, Dale Dixon (Cindy) and their children, Ricky and Dusty; three grandchildren who called him Pop Pop, Kiani Dixon Bailey, Devin Dixon Bailey and Tanner Liam-Northcraft Dixon. Margaret Elizabeth Suggs Prince

Margaret Elizabeth Suggs Prince of Loris passed away in her home on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at the age of 93. A native of Loris, Mrs. Prince was born on December 24, 1925. The daughter of Grover C. and Irene M. Suggs, she graduated from Loris High School as co-valedictorian of her class. Always a trendsetter, she attended Columbia College where she was active in many clubs and organizations. Mrs. Prince graduated in 1946 with an English degree and began her teaching career in Darlington. In August 1948, she married her high school sweetheart, E.W. Prince Jr. and moved to …

Violet Rollings Boyd, age 76, of Loris passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, at her home in Little River. Mrs. Boyd was born on March 17, 1943, in Jefferson to the late Bennett “Jack” Rollings and the late Ruth Jenkins Rollings.  Survivors include her two brothers, Jimmy Rollings and wife Mary Ann of Lancaster and Gary L. Theodore ‘Ted’ Van Weeren

Theodore “Ted” Van Weeren, 72, of Longs died on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in Little River. Born on Sept. 10, 1947, in Holland, he was the son of the late Jacobus and Johanna Van Weeren.  Ted was an accountant and attorney.  He was the recipient of two Emmy Awards for his work at the Olympic Games in 1984 and 1988. Joseph M. Mercurio

Joseph M. Mercurio, beloved husband and father, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 25, 2019, at the age of 83.  Joseph is survived by his four children, Karin, Kenneth, Patti-Jo and Peggi, and his four grandchildren, Cameron, Carson, Mary and Hannah. Joseph was born to Joseph and Marge Mercurio on March 20, 1936. He attended high school in Bloomfield where he met a future nursing student named Nancy. Berkley “Dwain” Spivey, 89, of McDonough, Ga., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019. He was a loving husband of 63 years to the late Lorene Norris Spivey. Robert Paul Arbott, 82, of Carlisle, Pa., formerly of Little River and Myrtle Beach, died on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at his residence. He was born on November 30, 1936, in New Kensington, Pa., to the late Peter Paul and Catherine (Kregiel) Arbott.
