Amanda “Jane” Russell Flynn, 71, of Little River passed away peacefully in her home early Monday, July 29, 2019. Jane, the daughter of Howard and Lorene Russell, was raised in Newport News, Va.  before relocating to New Jersey where she raised her own family in the Middletown area. For the past 18 years Jane has called Little River her home. Virginia Pauline Ambrose, 92, of North Myrtle Beach passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach. Born on March 17, 1927, in Washington County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maude Blevins Roe. Mrs. Ambrose is survived by her husband of 45 years, William “Bill” Ambrose Jr.; son, James Haga; daughter, Patsy Decker; four stepchildren, Wiliam B. Ambrose III, Jeffrey D. Ambrose, Rebecca L. Thomas Olen Norwood, 86, of Loris passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Loris McLeod Hospital in Loris. He was born on Feb. 14, 1933, in Elmira, N.Y. and worked in construction as a crane operator for most of his life. Ruth Wood, 81, of North Myrtle Beach passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Embrace Hospice surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Pennsylvania on May 5, 1938, to the late Arthur and Millie Huntzinger.  She grew up in Oneida, N.Y., and graduated from Oneida High School in the class of 1957. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Fousse. Richard Thompson “Dickie” Morris, 74, of Longs passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at his home in Longs. Born on March 4, 1945, in Wadesboro, N.C., he was the son of the late Jasper W. and Mary Crawford Morris. Survivors include one daughter, Melinda Hicks; and one brother, Crawford Morris (Frances). Richard E. “Dick” Bell, 83, of Little River died on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Born on Jan. 28, 1936, in Conway, he was the son of the late R.E. and Ruby Reeves Bell. Frederick Readen Jr., 87, of Little River passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at River Park Senior Living. Born on Aug. 30, 1931, in Charleston, he was the son of the late Frederick and Christine Claussen Sr. Mr. Readen graduated from The Citadel in 1959 and served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Doris Ann Lee Hooks Sanders, 68, of Conway passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.
