Sarah Lisa Jolly Dodson, 55, of North Myrtle Beach passed to her eternal home on Feb. 18, 2019, from complications following surgery and an extended illness. She was the wife of Jeffrey Dodson of North Myrtle Beach and the daughter of Mary Mason and Henry Jolly of Gaffney. She is also survived by a stepson, Kyle Dodson; a sister, Chris Jolly (Mark); a brother, Dr. Hank Jolly (Michelle); a niece, Elizabeth Hartzog, three nephews, Matt Hartzog, Mason Jolly and Jack Jolly; and many close lifelong friends. Sammy P. Livingston, 76, of Little River passed away on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2019. “Soldier, rest! Thy warfare o’er, Sleep the sleep that knows no breaking; Dream of battled fields no more, Days of danger, Nights of waking.” Sam was born in Wampee on Nov. 2, 1942, to Wilbur and Lutie Livingston. He attended Wampee High School. He was drafted in the Army in 1966 and served and fought in Vietnam. He returned home after his four-year duty with a Purple Heart. Ken Sibal, 82, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 14, at home surrounded by his family in Little River. He was born on July 11, 1936, to Emil and Marie Sibal. Ken grew up in the Bronx, N.Y. He graduated from The McBurney School in Manhattan in 1952. After high school he received his BA degree from Lafayette College (Easton, Pa.) and his master’s degree from Florida State University (Tallahassee, Fla.).
