Robert Clark Roth Jr.

Robert “Clark” Roth Jr., 77,  of Little River lost his battle with the coronavirus on Thursday, April 23, 2020. Born on May 11, 1942, in Washington, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert Clark and Margaret Jeffers Roth Sr. He graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School and served his country proudly in the United States Army. He worked at U.S. Steel as a machinist and Western Pennsylvania Water Company in the meter service department. Upon retirement Little River, became their home. Patricia Lynn Brown Tyler, 75, of Loris passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Tyler was born on Aug. 7, 1944, in Loris,  to the late Solomon C. Brown and the late Deaette Miller Brown. She worked with Hardee’s IGA and Tiny Tot’s Daycare and was of the Christian faith. Jeffrey Carl Filer, 64, formerly of New Castle,  P.a., passed away in Little River, on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Born in New Castle on Oct. 2, 1955, Jeffrey was the son of the late Carl “Leroy” and Eleanor McFerren Filer. He is survived by his wife, the former Roberta Wright, who he married on Feb. 11, 1978. Born on July 10, 1927, in Loris, she was the daughter of Lewis A. Edwards and Emma Jean Rogers Edwards. Floyd Bennie Stephens, 86, of Loris passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020, at his home. He was born on May 5, 1933, in Granite City, Ill., to the late Clarence Stephens and the late Della Cumins Stephens. Eric Johannes Lubberts, 61, of Longs died on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in Little River. Born on Jan. 6, 1959, in Passaic, N.J., he was the son of Nelly Bokhorst Lubberts and the late Taeke (Tom) and Carolina Lubberts. Kenneth Wesley Adkins, 93, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at his home in Florence.  Mr. Adkins was born on Dec. 30, 1926, in Sarcoxie, Mo., to the late Edison G. Adkins and the late Inez Capitola White Adkins. He served his country with courage, honor and dignity in the United States Navy during World War II.
