Wilma Prince Cox, 80, of Loris passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, at her home in Loris. She was born on August 27, 1939, in Loris to the late Rufus Prince and the late Gracie Wade Prince. Mrs. Cox was a loving homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her three daughters, Cindy Suggs and, Kenny of Green Sea, Hannah Willard of Calabash, N.C., and Alison Edge Vinson and husband Chuck of Warner Robins, Ga; her six grandchildren, Roger Dale Suggs, Jeffrey Suggs, Ginger Norris and husband Chad, Marcus Vinson, Rachael Willard and Dexter Willard; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Myrtle Debaghion of Awendaw.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Cox, her grandson, Christopher Vinson, her four brothers, J.R. Prince, Jack Prince, Tommy Prince and Paul M. Prince; and her sister, Bonnie Lee.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mack Hutson officiating. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at Hardwick Funeral Home. Committal services were at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 845 Leesburg Road in Columbia.
