Laurie Ann Lawson Fowler, 54, of Loris passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at her home. She was born on June 20, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Goldie Tomblin Larson and the late Lawrence “Larry” F. Larson. She was a loving wife, beautiful, strong, passionate, independent, and wonderful mother. She grew up on a farm and loved the mountains, animals, nature and had such a passion for gardening. Mrs. Fowler was also a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Loris.
Survivors, including her mother, are her husband, Dewey Keith Fowler of the home; mother, Goldie Larson of Walnut, MS; her two daughters, Amanda Fowler of Loris and Ashley Crawford and her husband, Calvin Crawford Jr. of Loris; her two sisters, Melanie Beasley and Jean Hebert, both of Walnut, MS; and a long-time childhood friend, Mark Grace; and a very special cousin, Diana Pietsch.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Fowler was predeceased by her two brothers, James Larson and Arthur Larson.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to her nurse, Annette Kelly, and Dr. Emily Touloukian with the Coastal Cancer Center in Loris for their tremendous care of Mrs. Laurie in her time of need.
