Deborah ‘Debbie’ Brown

Deborah “Debbie” Brown, 65, of Loris passed away after a long illness on Friday, April 17, 2020, at home with her family by her side.

Debbie was born on Jan. 4, 1955, in Conway, a daughter of the late John Brooks Paul Jr. and Mavis Porter Paul.  Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whom which her “ Nana “ spoiled and loved to play with. Being a proud tomboy all her life she enjoyed watching her kids and grandchildren in all sports and her great-grandchildren playing outside in the yard. She was frugal and very giving. Debbie was strong willed, brave and had no filter. She was a fighter and was a four time in 30 years lung cancer survivor encouraging many others at many annual Relay for Life events. She liked collecting and wearing baseball caps. Debbie and her beloved husband Tandy enjoyed traveling and traveled all over the country visiting the sights and places she had always wanted to see. Debbie enjoyed raking leaves, mowing the grass and helping others.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jordan, and her sister, Gail Paul.

 Surviving are her husband of six years and the love of her life, Clarence Tandy Brown III; children, Heather DeWitt of Mesa, Ariz., Erin DeWitt of Loris, Sean (Shannon) Dewitt of Smithfield, Va., and Michael Spiteri of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren, Keyth, Shea, John “JJ”, Ethan and Gavin; great-grandchildren, Silver and Kamryn; step-children, Tandy (Ericka) Brown IV and Amanda (Eoin) Stack; step-grandchildren, Jack, Anna, Molly, Clara, Maggie and Tandy V; several nieces and nephews; and her grand fur babies and her loyal companion who seems lost without her, her dog Jax.

 The family truly regrets that due to the coronavirus and CDC regulations, a celebration of live service will be held later. Please keep the family in your prayers.
