Robert “Clark” Roth Jr., 77, of Little River lost his battle with the coronavirus on Thursday, April 23, 2020.
Born on May 11, 1942, in Washington, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert Clark and Margaret Jeffers Roth Sr.
He graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School and served his country proudly in the United States Army. He worked at U.S. Steel as a machinist and Western Pennsylvania Water Company in the meter service department. Upon retirement Little River, became their home.
He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steeler fan, enjoyed model trains, his 55 Ford Crown Victoria and spending time with his family, friends and fellow classic car enthusiasts.
His smile was contagious and he loved to laugh with everyone he met. He was the first one to offer help to anyone who needed it. His big blue eyes and bigger personality will be deeply missed.
Mr. Roth is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Marcone Roth; three children, Cynthia Roth, Robert Roth and Meredith Cravin (Matthew); sister, Nancy Roth; and three grandchildren, Mariana Roth, Elizabeth Cravin and Elliot Cravin.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea’s Outreach Food Pantry, 1100 8th Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29582 or the charity of one’s choice.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on a date not yet determined.
