Cynthia M. Hawthorne, 73, of Little River died on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in Little River.
Born on Nov. 7, 1946, in Henderson, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Griffin Moss.
She was a retired sixth grade teacher and a college professor.
Mrs. Hawthorne is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dennis N. Hawthorne Sr.; her children, Mark Seastead, Tonya Jones, Shannon Penkrat, Dennis Hawthorne Jr., Gregory Hawthorne and Brian Hawthorne; and 12 grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, memorial services will be held at a later date at Trinity United Methodist Church in North Myrtle Beach.
