Flossie “Rose” Rosella Walker, 73, of Loris passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at McLeod Loris Hospital in Loris. She was born on April 4, 1947, in Conway to the late William McKinnley Chestnut and the late Rosa Mae Chestnut. Mrs. Walker was a long term resident of Tabor Commons in Tabor City, N.C., for the past 10 years where she developed many friendships.
In her earlier years she lived a quiet life and had a strong passion for vegetable and flower gardening. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Zaffrann and husband Mark; two grandchildren, Tyler Canady and Taylor Canady; three brothers, Walter Chestnut, Robert Chestnut and wife Wilma and Francis Chestnut; two sisters, Willie Mae Cox and Charlotte Holley and husband Thad; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Elbert Chestnut, and sister, Margret Causey.
