Arlo Cannon Mishoe

I died today, Sunday, May 17, 2020, however, my spiritual body is more alive than it ever was on earth and I’m dancing on streets of gold!

I was born on Sep. 24, 1933, in Conway to Gurley Mace and Arlene Caines Cannon. I was blessed with four brothers, Olease, Wallace, Dennie and Windle along with their wives and precious children. I married Worley Mishoe of Loris and his wonderful family and was given the privilege of mothering our beloved Terell Cray Mishoe who has been waiting on me with the Lord since June 2002.

In my youth, after graduating from Conway High School, my creativity blossomed in the form of hairdressing. I attended Florence Beauty Academy and became the owner and operator of Arlo’s Beauty Shop. I joined the local affiliate of SC Registered Cosmetologist’s Association and served early as the treasurer and later as president. I was elected to serve on the Loris City Council. I was appointed by S.C. Gov. Jim Edwards to serve on the Horry County Ambulance Service. By faith I became a long standing member of the First Assembly of God in Loris and by work came to be an agent for American Republic Insurance out of Iowa.

While I cared for people’s physical appearance, public policies and families’ futures, my real passion was always winning souls for the Kingdom of God because Heaven is real and Hell is too! With all my hope now fulfilled, I am left with only wanting you to join me in Heaven. Jesus is a gentleman and you won’t enter without an invitation. All you have to do is ask Him into your heart, you’ll be saved, and we will see each other again.
