Flossie “Rose” Rosella Walker, 73, of Loris passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at McLeod Loris Hospital in Loris. She was born on April 4, 1947, in Conway to the late William McKinnley Chestnut and the late Rosa Mae Chestnut. Mrs. Walker was a long term resident of Tabor Commons in Tabor City, N.C., for the past 10 years where she developed many friendships. Gerald is scholarship winner

HTC is proud to announce that Colby Gerald, a senior at Loris High School, is The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Roger Allen Cox Scholarship winner. Colby has been accepted to attend Southern Wesleyan University, where he plans to study music education. Center offers free food program

HTC partnered with a local produce company to deliver more than 400 pounds of fruits and vegetables to the Kingston Lake Education and Business Center in Loris on Thursday morning. As the local economy begins to reopen, HTC recognizes many neighbors and small businesses need backing now more than ever. To support the Kingston Lake Education and Business Center in its mission to help feed seniors and families in Loris and throughout Horry County, HTC delivered fresh food from Stevens Farms Produce.
