Event will be bigger offering surprises

By Dale Rieser

It’s time to shrug off the winter blues and celebrate. It’s time for the official kick off to Spring in North Myrtle Beach at the 32nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival!

Come join 40,000 of your closest friends and enjoy the pageantry, music, crafts, food and fun and help us ring in the start of the 2020 North Myrtle Beach season on Saturday, March 14, on Main Street.

This year’s parade, sponsored by the City of North Myrtle Beach and WPDE and organized by the North Strand Optimist Club, will kick off the day on Main Street at exactly 8:50 a.m. The parade will be bigger and better than ever with returning favorites and a few new surprises you won’t want to miss.

At the conclusion of the parade, the party continues on Main Street with the St. Patrick’s Day Festival presented by the City of North Myrtle Beach. This year‘s festival has something for everyone including three stages of music and an expanded children’s area with rides and amusements. The festival, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., also includes approximately 150 vendors displaying their crafts, services, information and products.

The North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival has grown to become one of the Grand Strand’s largest single day Spring events to celebrate the start of the new season. Attend and enjoy everything Irish!
