Helen R. Gibson

Helen R. Gibson, 75, of Longs died on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on Feb. 1, 1945, in Parkton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Alvin Lee and Lena Musselwhite McMillan.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Helen was a classy lady that had a smile that would light up the world. She was a faithful member of Anchor Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Samuel Thomas Gibson; son, Bobby Ray Matthews (Crystal); daughters, Brenda Denise Boulware (Brian), Mary Speed West (Vicki), Billie Carol Krimminger (Brett), Debra Kay Baldwin (Jim), and Kristi Mitchell (Justin); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, at Anchor Baptist Church in Little River.
