William Mitchell Ward, 69 of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., died on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.
Born on Aug. 24, 1950, in Conway, he was the son of the late A. Odell and Virginia Hardee Ward.
Mr. Ward is survived by his wife of 15 years, Cindy King Ward; three daughters, Sally Ward Brown (David), Stephanie Ward Wood (Richard) and Julie Ward Leonard (Ryan); two brothers, Herbert Cecil Ward and Rickey Ward (Joy); two sisters, Linda Ward Funderburke and Ora Lee Watkins; six grandchildren, Hannah and Griffin Brown, Ella Grace and Evan Matthews and Reed and Walker Leonard; many extended family and close friends; and faithful canine companion, Abby.
He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Angela Michelle Ward; two brothers, John William Long and James Aaron Long; and one sister, Barbara Jean Ward.
The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, in Lee Funeral Home Chapel.
